Come on fellas, drop it. Last warning. I do not have the time or the desire to keep checking in here. Mandalore Da Beast, we keep the thread to Mini Discussions, not personal comments, take that to PM if you must.

Now, read my post in the clone wars section.
I don't play DCI sanctioned games, I don't have anything like that here in Nashville.
So when me and my friends play, we play 300-450 pt. Armies. This whole talk of making up pts. For other characters
In replacement of other characters is alien to me.

Regardless if it's for DCI or casual play, if you have a squad that meets the build total (as my Gotal Fringer one does) and someone says "to improve this squad, substitute piece x for piece y" if x costs more than y then you must take other pieces out to meet the total and not go over.

I didn't think that even if a characters original hit hits palpatine could allow you to reroll that hit. I thought it was for missed rolls only. They Would have just taken the hit I originally rolled. I've played it that way for a few years. Now I find out otherwise. The rule books I have (clone wars starter and the one with vader and luke crossing sabers) said u could use force points for failed rolls..
I possibly couldve had 10 more disintegrations, and that really sux.
Is this some kind of DCI thing? Or is it actual mini rules? I'm baffled at how I am confused right now.
I mean, I'm reading the book now, and don't see using force pts. For rerolls on attacks, just failed attacks and saves.
So, somebody, anybody. Please tell me what I need to be reading.

The entry for Force Points in the Glossary reads:

Certain characters can manipulate the Force to create special effects. These characters have a Force rating, a number of points that they can spend to use Force powers (see below), to reroll any die roll (even a natural 1 on an attack), or to move 2 extra squares as part of a move. Once a Force point is spent, the character can’t spend it again during the skirmish.

(Bolding & underlining mine) There's nothing in there that stipulates the re-roll can only be used on a fail.

Besides needing a crit to win or take out a crucial piece, the other instance you'd want to re-roll a success first occured when Sly Moore was introduced in the 3rd set, Revenge of the Sith and you wanted to Dominate one of yr own characters. A succesful save would not let the Domination occur so you could spend FPs to re-roll and hope for a fail (That's also when it was ruled that saves are never optional, even for yr own characters)
